Whole Foods, Food Lion & Rite Aid

These are lumped together because I do not shop there often but will post for those who do. Whole Foods is just too far for me, but I pay attention because sometimes I will use one of their coupons at Publix.

Food Lion is new to our area, and they are opening up a location on Riverside Drive at the corner of Lawrenceville-Suwanee road. Again, never shopped there, but I sometimes use their coupons for a deal at Publix. I will be trying them out once they open as its right across from my sons school and they put out a lot of coupons for meat and produce, which other grocery stores do not seem to do.

Rite Aid is a bit trickier. They have great deals. So why do I not shop there often? Because their deals are rewarded with a SCR (Single Check Rebate). This means that they give back money to you in the form of a check which you have to apply for online once a month, after the month is over and within 30 days of that months end AND you only get one per month. So if you left something off, oops. So you can find many things for free or even as money makers, but be prepared to wait a whole month to get that cash back, and even then you have to go through the trouble of applying for it, waiting for it, and making sure it comes. So its not worth it to me. I very rarely take advantage of their deals, but I will if it requires very little cash OOP (out of pocket) and will reap a good money maker.
