So I ran out with hubby and lil man in tow so that I could take advantage of the last day of some overage coupons I had. I was a bit rushed, so I am a tiny bit mad at myself. ALWAYS always always check your receipt before leaving! I got to chatting with the cashier, and it was closing time so we were trying to hurry, and I didnt even look before putting the receipt in my pocket. Bad me!
What was wrong was that I bought 27 Covergirl items, but only gave the cashier 25 MF coupons and 25 store coupons. If I had given them 2 more MF and 2 more Publix coupons, I would have gone negative. So on my next visit, I will just get two more MF coupons and one store coupon redeemed to get $4.00 back.
However, that being said, my haul was GREAT! We spent $4.43 OOP (out of pocket) for $199.64. Once I get the additional $4.00 back, we will have spent $0.43 for $199.64!!!! Thats a savings of 99.8%. I will say though that I had to get 13 boxes of hair care coloring that I wont use and will donate because I used that to get the overage for my groceries. I did give two to the cashier, hopefully she enjoys it. :)
In regards to groceries, I bought peanut butter, jelly, pudding, milk, flat iron steaks, 2 boxes Nabisco crackers, 2 boxes Crackerful crackers, 2 bottles A-1 sauce, bananas, a single serve cup of Lucky Charms, a small bottle of tea, and a shine hair care treatment from Natural Instincts. I have never tried that before, its not color, just a shine treatment. I wonder how well it works?!?
This wasnt a big trip, just kinda thrown together. So I will be making another trip on Sunday which is the penny item day to get more A-1, meat, some free items I have coupons for, lunchmeat, bread and vegetables. At that time I will redeem the coupons I did not get to give today and all will be well.
