My trip to CVS...

So for those of you who do not believe this can be done, I am going to follow up with my actual trips as much as I can, so that you see the proof. I will include crappy little shots of the receipt with my posts. I am doing this because several of my friends have not made the 'jump' yet to doing this. I do not know what is stopping you really. If you follow my directions, you WILL get the savings.

So I went to CVS and did the exact post that I stated yesterday. I spent $1.12 in cash OOP, spent $7.58 in ECB's that I had from last week, and got $10.99 more ECB's that are good for a month! So even if you had no ECB's to start with, you would have spent $8.70 in cash OOP and gotten $10.99 back to spend again. Another words, all of your items would have been free, and they paid you to shop there by giving you another $1.30 towards other items next trip.

To recap, I got

1- hair color (I will sell or donate since I cant use, but it made me $2)

1- large yummy glade candle

1- dawn dish soap

1- package tide stain remover gel packs

1- bounce dryer bar

And here is what made me giggle when leaving. Take a close look at that receipt. My year to date savings = $1040.85. Total 2009 spending (OOP) = $39.87. Yes, I have gotten over $1000 worth of merchandise for only $40, most of that being tax. LOL. What have I gotten? A TON of school supplies for lil man, boxes of chocolates for his teachers, lots of hand soaps, body washes, make up, Sobe drinks, lots of pantiliners and tylenol, 3 lawn/quad chairs, sunblock, food items, eye drops, etc. And almost 95% of it I will actually use. The very few things I won't use but have gotten because they were a money maker I will either sell or give away. :)
Oh, and just a reminder. Scan your card under the price checker for EVERY visit! I got two CVS coupons- $1/1 Colgate Total toothpaste and $1/1 Skintimate or Edge shave gel. These will go very nicely stacked with MF coupons that I either already have or ones that are coming out tomorrow! If they go on sale in the next two weeks (these expire 9/13), they might be good money makers!

So there you have it! What are you waiting for? If you have any questions that I can help to get you going, let me know.
